[Chimera-users] ATI-Driver & Chimera hangs OS

Hi Yang,

  I noticed that Chimera 1.2176 on Windows with a FireGL T2 graphics card
hangs the whole system (reboot required) when showing volume data surfaces.
I reported it to the Chimera bug database, bug 2095.

This is certainly a graphics driver bug, not a Chimera problem.  It
may be possible to change the settings for your graphics driver (level
of acceleration, anti-aliasing, etc...) to work-around the system
hang.  If that does not work you can reinstall the older driver.  In
general I avoid updating my graphics driver unless the current one has
a problem.  New driver releases on average seem to introduce as many new
problems as they solve.
