Hi Connie,
A session saves the state, but not how the state was achieved.

The command history is saved in your preferences file.  You can  
change the number of commands that is saved (Favorites... Preference,  
Command Line category), but that has to be done proactively.  Once  
something has fallen off the back end of the history, it is gone, sorry.

Depending on what you are trying to do, you may want to take a look  
at the "mcopy" command.  It copies settings from one molecule to  
another, but requires identical atom/residue names etc.
