I'm surprised you're getting that error at chimera startup. Did you
update your graphics driver recently? Most startup errors can be
temporarily solved by removing your chimera preferences file; on Windows
Vista, that you would be in "c:\Documents and
Settings\USERNAME\Application Data\.chimera\preferences". If you figure
out a way to reproduce this bug, please file a bug report using
chimera's Report a Bug dialog.
