[Chimera-users] system freeze completly with ubuntu 10.10

Hello,
I have some trouble with chimera on my old laptop. My complete system is
freezing after a few seconds. I can not restart X server or switching to a
console or anything, even the mouse pointer is not moving.
I tried 32 bit chimera 1.5.2 and 1.5.3, both have the same problem.
I have 64 MB graphical memory available, but the maps I am loading are
very small, like less then 4MB and the system crashs also, even if I open
just one map.

Does anyone has a good suggestion? Since the whole system is freezing, I
am not able to switch back to a terminal to look for error messages or
similar.
