Hi Rebecca,
I believe to go from the current position to position "in" in 50 frames, you would use:

fly 50 start in

- or -

fly start 50 in

... where "start" is the position name referring to the current position.  The command "fly 50 in" is interpreted as starting right away at "in" (in 1 frame) and then 50 would be used for subsequent transitions.  This is useful because you might not want to include the current position in your animation.
