[Chimera-users] Blast web service appears to be down

Hi Anitha,
I believe the Blast Protein web service connected to Chimera is running — I just tried it, with success.  Maybe there is some connection or firewall issue on your end?

There isn’t a run-local option for this tool, sorry.  Of course, you could run blast at the NCBI website (not connected to Chimera):

<https://blast.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/Blast.cgi?PROGRAM=blastp&PAGE_TYPE=BlastSearch&LINK_LOC=blasthome>
