Hi Prathvi,
I don't know how good it would look, but there are options to adjust depth-cueing in the ChimeraX lighting command

...that you could embed in the "perframe" command for gradual changes

It would require you to do some experimentation and reading about how to use perframe.
Chimera has analogous commands, where depthcue control is in the "set" command.
