We’re glad you like ChimeraX graphics!
Yes, as mentioned on the ChimeraX download page, it cannot open Chimera sessions. They are different programs, although we have implemented several similarities for continuity of use.
Currently there is no way to import a session from Chimera into ChimeraX, sorry. Due to command similarities, if you had a Chimera command script it would be a good start for a ChimeraX command script, but sessions are much more different.
