[chimerax-users] Main interface does not start

Hi Tom,

If ChimeraX won't start anymore I think there are two possibilities 1) your computer updated to a broken graphics driver, or 2) the ChimeraX preference settings got messed up. The first thing I suggest is trying a ChimeraX daily build. If that fails then try renaming your preferences directory

C:/Users/<username>/AppData/Local/UCSF/ChimeraX

so ChimeraX won't find it and will start with defaults. If that works, could you make a zip file of your broken preferences directory and use ChimeraX menu Help / Report a Bug... and include the zip file so we can figure out what went wrong and fix it. If none of this fixes it you should see if you can update the graphics driver on your computer. ChimeraX daily builds should show an error message on start-up if the graphics driver is inadequate, but the old ChimeraX 0.9 release may not.

	Tom
