[chimerax-users] sessions vs. logging

Hi all,
As of tomorrow’s daily build, restoring a session will by default clear the log and restore the contents of the log from the session, hidden under a dated disclosure triangle. There is a preference in the “Log” preferences category to not clear the log (but still add the old log under a disclosure triangle). If you are a big fan of the current behavior and don’t want the old log to be added at all, I can add an option for that. If you are, feel free to speak up (but maybe try out the new behavior first?).
These dated disclosure triangles “nest”, in that if you do some work and save a session, then later restore that session and do more work and save a second session, when you restore that second session you will see one disclosure triangle that shows the second set of work you did — but at the top of that second set of work will be a disclosure triangle that can be opened to show the first set of work you did.
