Hi Lucas,
If you mean you were using the same version of ChimeraX before and after the problem appeared (or even if you were using different versions), it could be due to a change on your computer, e.g. software update.
At least on my Mac, the 3/24 build with a similar command gives me a high-quality image.
If you use ChimeraX menu: Help... Report a Bug, the report it sends us would include some of your computer specs and might possibly help in solving the problem. It would also help if you would attach an example of what you mean by bad-quality image to the report, and include your e-mail address, assuming you want feedback.
