Hi Brandon,

  So what you need is two commands

	vseries play #1 cacheFrames 300 pauseFrames 32
	perframe tableTop frames 10 interval 32

They can be on one line separated by a semicolon, but for recording a movie I typically put them in a command file (*.cxc) and open the file.  Both these commands return immediately without drawing anything, and then as graphics frames are drawn they do their thing at the appropriate frame numbers.  To record a movie you would use a command script like

movie record
vseries play #1 cacheFrames 300 pauseFrames 32
perframe tableTop frames 10 interval 32
wait 320
movie encode ~/Desktop/cells.mp4 quality high

I'm not totally sure the "32" options are right, might need 33 on one of them and 330 on the wait.  Would need to check the documentation for vseries pauseFrames and perframe interval to see what the number exactly means.
