[chimerax-users] Custom Palette

Hi Abhilash,
There isn't a way to create a custom palette with a name for that palette, but effectively yes, you can directly specify a series of any colors that you want as the palette in commands with a "palette" option (color byattribute, rainbow, mlp, coulombic, probably others).  For example:

rainbow palette cornflowerblue:red:gold:white

...where that example uses color names, but you could also use hex codes, etc. as detailed in the link below on how to specify colors.

You can also create custom color names with the "color name" command:
