[chimerax-users] OpenGL woes on Windows

Yes, something odd is going on.  It sounds like it should work. You can
double check that the graphics driver is installed by running the dxdiag
program that comes with Windows, and looking at the Display tab.  dxdiag
also has a button to "Save All Information".  Please click on that and
send me the resulting text file, usually dxdiag.txt.  But that doesn't
tell us about any issues with the OpenGL part of the graphics driver.
For that, please download
https://www.cgl.ucsf.edu/home/gregc/wglinfo.exe, run it inside a
terminal/command window, and send me the text output.  wglinfo prints
out all of the OpenGL options supported by your graphics driver.

Another thought, does your Windows box also have integrated graphics?
Make sure your display is connected to the Nvidia card.

     Best,
