Hi Travis,
A related possibility is to make surfaces of other shapes with the "shape" command and then use them to mask the volume using "volume mask":

However, the shapes are all curved except icosahedron and the 2D ones (triangle, rectangle); I don't know how usable these three are in conjunction with "volume mask."
