Dear Dr. Samo Lešnik,
Maybe you have an old version of ChimeraX? In version 1.3 and later, there is a Distances graphical interface (menu: Tools... Structure Analysis... Distances) that lets you change the number of dashes to 0, making a solid line.
<https://rbvi.ucsf.edu/chimerax/docs/user/tools/distances.html>

Or you can do it with command "distance style", for example:

distance style dashes 0

<https://rbvi.ucsf.edu/chimerax/docs/user/commands/distance.html>

If you want to change the default style so that future ones are automatically drawn that way, you can do it in the Preferences GUI, category Distances:

<https://rbvi.ucsf.edu/chimerax/docs/user/preferences.html#distances>

... you can also set preferences with the "distance style" command:

distance style dashes 0 setDefaults true

I hope this helps,
Elaine
