    1 Our current ChimeraX BLAST search of the NR (non-redundant) database brings 179 GB of blast database files (3 times larger than AlphaFold DB version 3) into memory on the server and takes 50 minutes, ticket # 7388.  I measured this by doing an NR sequence search in ChimeraX and monitoring it on the server (franklin).
